That is a silly idea. Italians are very serious about their food sources. Italians want their beef, pork, chicken, turkey, duck, lamb to be bred, born and slaughtered in Italy. At my supermarket the only fruit and vegetables available which have not been grown in Italy are pineapples,bananas and avocadoes, because they are not grown in Italy. Italy has started a production of avocadoes though, but it will not be ready for another couple of years. Pineapples and bananas only grow in tropical countries.
