    The other answers are valid.

Here some points you should consider drawn from my past experience in dealing with international business customers.

However, please note I’m not an export specialist and you should not rely on the following information. Trading internationally is a complex business and requires you to know and comply with laws, regulations and procedures. Consult with an export specialist.

For example, to have a certificate of origin issued you must present the documentation required by your local chamber of commerce or other authority taking care of it. Not sure how it works in South America. If you are not the factory, it’s the factory/manufacturer that must do that.

You and the factory must ensure all boxes are numbered and containing articles matching the packing list and commercial invoice. Article description, composition, quantities, unit price and total must be on the latter. Check if HS code must be mentioned for your specific case.

It’s also possible that an export declaration must be produced if applicable in your case so that the forwarder can present the whole lot to customs for export. All documents will also be checked by import customs for goods release in the country of destination.

If you use a third-party factory/company for the production, packaging and the rest, pay attention to invoicing. The factory will issue a commercial invoice to you but with destination of goods to the company and address of your EU buyer along with Incoterms and mode of transport, i.e. air, cargo, etc. you will have given to your EU buyer and agreed with the factory from the beginning of your collaboration.

On the other hand, in order to get paid by your EU buyer, you will issue an invoice directly to them indicating terms of payment and mode, i.e. bank wire, etc. Ultimately, you are their seller, not the factory.
